Combine multiple files into one PDF

Thank you Lauren Rossi for today's tech tip.

PDFMerge! is a site that allows you to upload several files (of any time) and merge them all together into one PDF.  This would be great to use when you have multiple files and want the copy center to turn them into one document.  You can merge them all into one PDF and then send that to them!

How to Right Click on the Mac

If you are a Windows user who has moved over to Mac, you may have noticed that you can no longer right click.  There are two easy ways to right click.  The first is to hold down the Control key and then click.

If you want to set up your trackpad to have right click there are a few options for you.  To set this up first open up System Preferences and then click on Trackpad.  From there click on "Point and Click" and set your preferences under Secondary Click.  Secondary Click is Mac speak for right click.

Here is a quick screencast to show you what to do.

Updating your Network Password

To update your Network Password follow the following steps (the video also shows the same thing):

  1. open up System Preferences
  2. click on Users and Groups
  3. click on Change Password
  4. type in your old password and what you would like the new password to be

Your new Google Account!

If you have changed your network password you are ready to sign into Google (if you want to).  This link will take you to a video that shows you what to do.  The sign up process is very simple.

Things to note:
  1. If you just changed your password you may have to wait 24 hours before it syncs up with Google
  2. If you had created a previous Google account with your school e-mail address there will be one more step for you to go through.  It will prompt you through the steps, but basically it will ask if you want to merge your two accounts.
If you have any questions, just ask!

Changing your Outlook (program) password

For those of you who have set up the Outlook program on your computer (not the web version) you will need to change your password after you change your computer password.  Below is a short video on how to do that.
